IPOS Institute (International Policy and Security Institute) is a global policy research organization dedicated to promote security, freedom and prosperity.
IPOS Institute (International Policy and Security Institute) is a new generation global policy research organization dedicated to promote security, freedom, justice, science and prosperity[1]. It operates globally through comprehensive, branched networks of influential business professionals working closely with government officials and within the political system.
Our focal areas are the rights of freedom and property, a free market with strictly limited systems of business support, considerable tax reductions, and limiting the state power to influence and regulate the conditions of individual citizens or companies.
In our opinion, policy institutes will continue to play a greater role in society. Political parties will perish and new ones will arise. Politicians are elected for a short period of time and often they have to take matters into consideration that not necessarily – objectively seen – are coherent to the ongoing development of society in general.
Well managed policy institutes, on the other hand, can attain a more permanent and constructive influence on the alternating politicians’, civil servants’ and governments’ policies and actions.
The key personnel of this policy institute already possesses significant political influence and are often invited to participate in meetings with well-renowned politicians and other people of influence all over the world, and several of our key persons have been Members of Parliament.
It is our intention to formalize and expand this influence considerably.
IPOS Institute does not separate itself from other conservative-liberal policy institutes on an attitudinal level, but rather as regards to the measures of approach. We intend to act and influence globally, in contradiction to most of the existing policy institutes.
Naturally, we will use all the existing channels for gaining political influence, including:
In addition to the aforementioned it is our intention to:
Initially, we intend to establish offices in Denmark and Switzerland.
The Board of Directors:
The top management of the policy institute will consist of board members selected by other members in order to secure a lasting continuity in the institute’s political views. In this regard it will never be possible to coup the organization or make significant changes to the fundamental principles.
Management and Employees:
A direction along with both permanent and project staff will be hired. The Board of Directors can engage an executive committee.
Advisory Board:
As mentioned above, we are in the process of establishing a worldwide Advisory Board, consisting of people who can and will work to promote our ideas. There will be no regulatory limitations regarding the number of members of this board. The members will be appointed (invited) by the Board of Directors. The members are free to raise any topic they wish too, and they can be invited by the Board to share their knowledge and experience when relevant to a given subject. It is completely mandatory how much time a member wants to spend.
Goodwill Ambassadors and Protectors:
It is our intention to associate with a number of goodwill ambassadors, that can assist in profiling the Institute without necessarily taking active part in the organization.
Further details on IPOS Institute’s fundamental ideas
We represent classical, conservative-liberal thoughts, for example:
Several people have already accepted to represent and work for the institute - counting both present and former members of the Danish Parliament, former ministers, as well as heads of industry.
At the time of writing approximately 50 resource persons are connected to the Institute. It is our intention to expand this group to 500+ people from all over the world within a relatively short timeframe.
It is our intention to acquire a manor house or a castle, which shall provide the physical framework for the members of the organization as well as constitute a significant eye catcher to the media. Our vision is a “house of knowledge” where opinion makers, philosophers and professionals constantly gather to actively shape the further development of the institute.
Seminars will be arranged frequently, but besides this there shall be a constant flow of likeminded, gifted persons exchanging opinions and interacting in a manner constructive to the fundamental goal of contributing to the political debate in society.
It is our wish – as mentioned – to work globally.
The policy institute must be 100 percent self-financed and independent, and will therefore solely rely on private donations.
It is possible for donors to make public or anonymous donations. If a donation is public, companies can be offered commercial spots on IPOS Institute’s website, etc. in return for their donation. A donation – of course – will never give access to direct, political influence. IPOS Institute is 100 percent independent.
We will not apply for recognition as a tax-deductable, non-profit organization. IPOS Institute is a liberal lobbying organization, and as such we are opposed to having taxpayers financing our operations.
The founders themselves offer a considerable contribution in the form of manpower and outright financial support.
